URGENT: H1 transfer: Question on I 797 A start date. Plz help

I have my H1 I 797 valid until September 2011 with company A. I have recently applied to company B and was about start at company B from March 1, 2011. B applied for H1 transfer and received 797 and I'm surprised to see the start date as March 7th.

Company B did all the internal work for start date as March 1. Should I inform company B HR about changing the start date to March 7th. Company A is OK for any end date. I personally prefer to move to company B as quickly as possible.

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

-------- you can work with B from March 7 and AC21 also allow you to start working with B any day After H1 transfer Petition was filed B with USCIS and B got Filing receipt. Why don't you talk to B company lawyer to be clear?

thanks for the reply, yes the I-94 is attached to I-797.

Will it create any problems in the future or is it illegal to work with B starting from March 1st.

I dont know if Employer or lawyer wrote the start date March1 when filed H1 petition. you should talk to Company lawyer who filed your H1.
