URGENT- H1 Revalidation

Hello Gurus
My visa is expired on Dec’ 30, 01. I had sent my Passport and required documents for H1 revalidation on Dec’ 16, 02 and it was received at St.Louis Office on Dec’ 17, 02.
This morning I managed to talk with Visa Office and they informed me that “My Documents are received at Washington office on
Dec’ 31,02”.
Will my Visa be revalidated or they will send it back as they received it at Washington office exactly one year one day after visa is expired?
 
Well it is anybody's guess. Only good thing I can come up with is you dont lose your status if washington (St.louis) refuses to revalidate your visa.
You can always get it revalidated at home country.
Please post your experience in this forum so that we can use your case as a reference later.
