urgent H1-B and EAD question

I am an H1-B holder which is valid for another 3 years, but i may change my job soon. I also applied for I-485 at TSC and got receipt today:check the may-tracker of receipts for more information.
My question is, if i apply for EAD now, will my H1-B be still valid? and after getting the EAD can i change jobs and get a new H1-B from the newer employer, just to be on the safe side?

H1 is still valid

Applying for EAD does not make H1 invalid. You can continue to do H1 transfers too. Once you start using EAD, it is better to stick on to using EAD. With EAD you can leverage the AC21 rules too..
