Urgent H-1 Stamping Question

Hi,

I have got 2 degrees from the US and then got my OPT and started working and got approved for my H-1. Unfortunately on my way back from dinner I was stopped by a cop and taken in to take a breath test under suspicion of DUI but my breath test came under the limit 0.078 so they have dropped the charged to Reckless driving.

I am trying to go to get my H-1 stamped and was wondering if anyone knows if my reckless driving could cause a problem when I go for stamping. Also would anyone have a recommendation as to whether going to Canada or India might be better (Indian citizen)? Or does it not really matter where you go?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I really hope you can offer some advice from personal experience or other sources.

Thank You!

kcdude/navya,

I guess Canada/Mexico is a good option for you. I graduated here in US and went to Canada for stamping twice without much trouble. If you have a US degree, never been out of status and have all required documents, then you can go India/Canada/Mexico.

Hi,

If anyone has had a similar situation to mine can you please tell me about your experience and if you have any suggestions.

Also could someone just address the issue that does it matter where you go for stamping ( India or Canada or Mexico?)

Thanks,
Navya
