Urgent for Gurus

Hi all,
I got RFE from Vermont about H1B. They are asking Pay Stubs for certain period of time when I was looking for job as previous company went out of Business.
What should I do?
What response I have to send them?
Should I tel them that I was looking for Job and find one but was in th eprocess to sign up offer letter and exchanging document with my employer and that is why I don't have pay stub.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Would recommend telling the truth. No paystubs. You can give any kind of reason you want.

What I was doing that time, looking for new job and got this compnay with in first 2 weeks and got offer letter from him and then some how it had delayed to file h1 due to HR Correspondance.
