urgent F2 to F1 status change..Canada or Bahamas

Hi All,

My wife has been accepted for her MS program. We have to change her status from F2 to F1 immediately as the school is starting in 3 weeks. We dont have time to go through USICS. We have booked appointments at US consulates at Halifax Canada and Nassau Bahamas. Can anyone throw some linght on how there consulates are? Which one is better/easier to get the status changed? I really need ur help. Please advise.

I'll keep up with this thread... I'm looking at Halifax too and wish to get my F-1 stamping there.
 
Hello All,
I have a few questions about the change of visa status.I plan to change my visa status from H4 to F1 . I want to go to Mexico for that.

Which one do you think is a better option ,Going to India or Canada /Mexico?
If any of you have been to Mexico/Canada /India ,Please Let me know about your experiences .

In case of rejection of my F1 , Can i come back to US on my H4 (H4 is valid till 2008)?

Also , do we have to submit the I-539 form for change of status?or only

Ds-156,DS-157, DS-158?
