Urgent EAD: Date of last entry into US

I went to Canada and return to the US in July 2002; however, my I-94 shows Jan 2002 because I did not surrender the I-94. Should I enter Jan 2002 as my last date of entry since my I-94 says so (need to send copy of I-94 with application) or should I enter July 2002. Anyone in similar position, Please help

Argument can go both ways, but since you will be sending the I94, you should say Jan 2002. All INS is interested is to know what was your previous status and when did you change it to Adjustee (if you had). If you are maintaining H or L visa even now then the date is not crucial.

I came in on a H-1 B (Jan 2002) but subsequently used EAD (in July 2002), I guess you would still agree that I should enter the last date of entry as what my I-94 says.

By the way, Jaxen you have been amazingly helpful. Are you also waiting for your I-485 to be processed? All the best!
