Hi!,
I am on B1/B2 Visa. The Visa stamp issued to me at US Embassy,New Delhi granted me a visa for a duration of months starting from my date of Interview i.e 24th April-24th july,2005.

The I-94 form issued by the Visa counsellar instead takes my date of arrival as initial date i.e. 30th May and states that I am valid to stay till 29th Aug,2005.

Which of the above Dates (1. one stamped by the US Embassy in New Delhi i.e.24th July or 2. The I-94 form issued by the Counsellor at the Airport in USA.i.e 29th Aug,2005.) is the last date till which I am eligible to stay in US with the existing documents.

Thanking You in anticipation,
Best Regards

You can stay up to the date mentioned in the I 94 card.

Legally you can stay upto I-94 expires...but you should stay upto your Visa Expires...believe..me.. because at the time when you will be leaving US, they going to take back I-94, so then when you apply for visa agian..it will look like you overstayed........

So stay untill you visa expires...not I-94 (its my advise)

It is not a good advise. At the POE, the immig officer allowed him to stay certain date( I 94 date) why should not use it.

Non- immigrant visa holders for e.g. h1 come with 3 yrs visa stamped in thier pass port, if the passport expires before that you will get I 94 for less period. You meant say you can stay even I 94 expires, if you have visa in your pp with out getting extention.

Again, If a H1 came 3 yrs visa stamped with 3 yrs, I 94, got extended further 3 years also I 94 but no visa in the passport (visa in the pp already expired), keep staying. You meant to say they are look like over stayed 3 years.

I 94 have more proof of your physical presense than any thing else.

Keep a copy of I 94 front and back side will help you when you go next time for visa.
