I am a citizen of Singapore starting college in the US in end-August.
I plan to enter the US to live with my uncle in mid-June.
After I receive the I-20 from my college in end-May, I plan to apply for both a B-1 and F-1 visa at my local embassy before departure, then petition to adjust status from B-1 to F-1 while in the US.
Are my applications likely to go through? If so, how long would it take?
