My company assigned me a job in Connecticut. I was in California till last Feb 02. I didn\'t shift any of my stuff from there. I use to visit every month to see my wife in California. I would like to look for an apartment in Connecticut & move over here. I called IIO 3 to 4 times; they say that the case is pending. I am not very sure, whether I can change my address at this time. I have the following questions......

1) Will change of address get reflected immediately in the INS database?
2) Will INS transfer my case from CSC to Vermont Service Center?
3) What are the chances of further delay in my case?

I am worried about the impact of change of address at last minute. Please advice.

Why don\'t you ask your office or your wife to forward to you the papers or IDs you expect from INS?

Same situation.

I moved from California to another state but i gave the change of address of one of my cousin who has a permannent house in California.I confirmed this to the IIO over the phone and also asked the lawyer to fax the information to INS.Hereonwards any communication from INS will go to my cousin home address. There will be problem only if there is an interview because the files will be in the respective INS center and we have to move to the concerned location to give our interview.

You can change your address. No problem

I tried officially through lawywer but didn\'t got updated when I called IIO and updated the address for me and my wife. May be lawyer might not have sent forms by that time. I also called second time and asked IIO my address and he told the new address appears on the records. I also gave change of address request to USPS using variety of combinations of my last name and first name.

Case transfer if we change address: CSC to VSC???????

Thanks to Moonlight & jrrashok,

Can you explain about case transfer to CSC to VSC if we change the address & will it delay further?

No problem!! mine was like yours but went cool... relax buddy

Hi,
I have changed my apartment and immediately sent a letter to CSC specifing my old and new address along with application number, dateofbirth and ssn. After 3 months i called IIO and found that they updated. There is no delay in the processing if you change your address. Be sure to send the letter ASAP to CSC

Good luck
