Urgent AP Questions - please help

Gurus!
I am in the process of applying for Advance Parole and need help with the following questions:

1. Is it better to apply online or send the paper application?
2. The instructions state that I need to attach copy of a document showing my present status. I am on L1A (current status). Should I attach L1A Approval notice or a 485 Approval Notice
3. The instructions state that I should attach an explanation why AP is required OR attach a copy of 485 receipt notice. Its confusing! I ofcourse have the second - so I don't need to send an explanation?
4. In the application Part 1, what does 'Class of Admission' mean? I entered US on H1 and changed to L1. What would be my class of admission?
5. Don't we need to fill in part 4 if we are applying for AP?

Are you sure you even need AP? I don't know about L visas but with H visas, as long as you don't use your EAD, you can travel and re-enter the US on the H visa.

Otherwise (if you do need AP):

I don't think it matters much either way. You are going to have to send some documents in (by mail) anyway.

I'd just include a copy of both and let them worry about it.

I thought you only needed an "explanation" if you want accelerated processing for the AP (e.g. due to personal issues).

Haven't filed for AP before so I'm not sure what part 4 is.

Class of Admission: Adjustee (since you applied with I-485.
 
Waiting, i just applied for AP and it got approved.
i applied at local center in Greer, South Carolina.
it took one month.

don't get too technical. these guys have given good answers.

for class type: i have put h-1b, i did not put adjustee, still i got approved.
