Urgent and very important student visa issue????

I am a US citizen and my dad is a green card holder. My brother wants to come to US on student visa.
I have petitioned for my brother (in brother/sister of US citizen category) and so has my dad also
petitioned as my brother is unmarried.

Our problem is that if he tells in his visa interview that his brother and dad are in
US then they can reject his application for student visa.
But in the application that he has to take to US embassy there is
a section where they ask if you have any relative in US and if they have
applied for you.

Does any body know how to handle this situation? What kind of check INS does for student visa applicants?
Will they be able to know, he has family in US and they have applied for his immigration?

Don't Risk it all

As u may have or may not seen in other forums - he is required to tell the truth as it can have dire consequences if and when they find out. It's likely he will get rejected based on the reasons u mentioned, but its a gamble - with these people - u just never know....use this as u see fit...but good luck...go through the other forums - this is a pretty popular question - which many gurus have answered to...check them out
