Hi,

I would like to know how long it would roughly take to transfer an N-400 application from the Texas Service Center (TSC) to the Vermont Service Center (VSC) then Baltimore. Just give me a rough estimate.

I requested to have my application withdrew from TSC since I have moved to Silver Spring few months ago from Florida. I have even sent a change of address. I received yesterday a notice to have my fingerprints taken in West Palm Beach the 20th of August. I am thinking about flying to West Palm Beach, take these fingerprints, then ask my file to be transferred to VSC/Baltimore.

Would it be better to withdraw my application and refile it in Baltimore via the VSC?
Do you think it is a good idea? Any suggestion would be much appreciated. I am expecting some delays.

Thank you for your help.

Change of address may cause delays sometimes. Its likely.
You can withdraw and refile but you lose your $310 (is it $360 now a days ?) .

Why not just let it be the way it is. I dunno how efficient the Baltimore office is but if its under 1 year, don't bother doing anything. Did you file the AR11? Did you call the 800 # and update address ? Do both.

How long it takes to move files? Well TSC is not inefficient so it should not to too long. But why do you bother ? Your file needs to be in Baltimore only by the time of your interview. Before that is not required

In case of change of address can we keep the old address, for example Mr. Kaolack can he leave his address in texas if he know some body there and just keep all the process in texas?

I have other question about FP, and background check, what the deal in case of bad credits.
