I have an urgent question:

My I-140 was approved in July 2001 and I-485 was filed to CSC in Feb 2002, Now I got laid off yesterday and already find another job today. Here is my question:
I worked as consultant in my previous company, but that company did not give me any detail information about my LC,even case number, but I have a copy of ETA750 A, B. In ETA 750A, my job title is "Consultant" in column 9, but I cannot find any job title as "Consultant" from http://www.bls.gov/search/ooh.asp?ct=OOH, also I downloaded all my previous company's LC cases from
http://www.flcdatacenter.com/casesearchperm.asp and found that my LC was filed as OCC code: 030.062
-010, job title is Software Engineer, my question is: which job title should I use in AC21? The new job I get is " Sr. Software Engineer", will this cause any problem? Job description is similiar, almost same.

Thanks!

If you have ETA 750A then look column 13 and find what skills are written that will be OK

----- same or similar USCIS is not strict about job title if it is same it is good if not no problem skills should match 75%

*** Join the new employer with H1 transfer or with EAD. If you don’t have LC copy you can get it from DOL or can ask the complete file from USCIS under FOIA
search the threads manygot copies of files including LC copy I-140 copy from USCIS
Good Luck!!

Thanks for quick answer, ginnu! I will try to use FOIA.

Another question: after I file G28 to change lawyer, what documents will be transfered from old lawyer to the new lawyer? will LC approval be transferred? Is it required that the old lawyer transfer my LC approval to my new lawyer?

Thanks!

---- Let your new lawyer ask for your complete file from past lawyer he may or may not give LC copy as it belongs to past employer
