Urgent : AC 21 question - Request for any info about this

Hi Folks,

I hoping to hear any kind of suggestion or advice on how to resolve this situation.

Here it is ...

I was working with Company A for quite sometime [ 2 yrs ] the company was brought over during the .com plunge by another Company B [ Technically a merger into the company ], but I had already applied my I140 with Company A so finally it got approved and then I applied my I485 with Company B as I was not part of Company B. Recently my attorney contacted me stating that I need to apply for my AC21 before the I485 approval comes through if not my I485 becomes invalid or not legal.

1. Can you gurus out there let me know if I should apply for AC21 ??
2. What are the other complications if I don't ??

Did you enclose the Offer letter from Company A?
 
Yes !, Pretty much all the documents to prove that I was working with Company A [ you know the paystub and others too ] before getting into B. But still ?? :confused:
 
It depends on the Tax ID. If A and B use the same Tax ID, you do not need do anything.
That is my situation and my lawyer told me these inofrmation.

Before AC-21 was passed usually this was case which requires an amended I-140. But Now because AC-21 you can say this job is all together new job.

Sending AC-21 document is not an urgent thing you can do it later. Some people send it only as response to RFE.
