Urgent: about H4 and H1 stamp on US/Canada Board

My wife has H1 and I am canadian citizen, now both in US. We want to go to board to get H1 and H4 stamp. Should we enter Canada and then return back to board for stamp or just do it on US board side?

You need to go out of the country in order to get the visa stamp in the passport, so going to one of the canadian consulates would be the approach there.

Now if you do not want to leave you are in status up until the I-797 says it expires and if you wish to extend provided you can then you just fill out the necessary forms get them approved and you are still in status.

Thanks for your information. One more thing, can I rent a car in US and drive to canada, which rental company I can use?

They're Canadian. They don't need visa stamps.
