anybody knows how to contact FBI, I want to find out whether they had done with my security check before I am laid off which will happen soon:( , any help or input will be greatly appreciated!

ditto

i would steer away from any security clearance issues in these times. don't let the fbi find out you're anxious about your security clearance for whatever pressing personal issues you may have. you may land in a bigger problem than just getting laid off.

I dont know why you seem to be quite so desperate...use AC21 law and you should be fine...

also, what does a security check have to do with your being laid off?

Davli024,

cool off man. if INS is doing security check that means everything is done to have your application approved. If the security check comes clean, you will get the approval. they will not send you any RFE for employment anymore. So, relax and see what happens. in between keep looking for jobs. best of luck.

pal, still confused

so usually when will this security check be performed, is it the last thing that INS would do before approving a case? I got so confused because I saw so many cases on rupnet got approved 1 or 2 weeks after INS received rfe. does that mean that INS has finished their security check in several days? how come my takes this long? it has been more than 2 months since INS received my rfe.

the reason why I am so anxious is that I am planning to switch to a different job, not similar at all. :(

thanks for any input!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are planning to switch to a very different job, then I would suggest you to wait till you get your green card. The underlying reason for green card is you will be working for your sponsoring employer after your green card. As a result, some lawyers even suggest to keep working for the same employer for at least 6 months even after you get your green card. But using the AC-21 rule, you can change your employer provided your new job description fits your original petition job.

And I believe security check is the last thing for a geen card procedure now. Just keep your hopes up and you will see the light at the end of the tunnel pretty soon.
