hello,
My i-485 is pending.
I'm married 25 yr old woman.
I want ur advice on an issue. I have no relatives in US i.e no one to advice me here .
My parents and in-laws stay in india and I stay in US with my husband. My in-laws are the most cruel and greedy people on this earth. i fear they can go to the extent of killing me if they need. They have made my life miserable by maligning my image in front of their son and proving me as the worst daughter in law and person.
All they want from my husband (their only son) is his money and OBIDIENCE to WHATEVER they SAY. They have haressed me mentally and physically to the extent which is intolerable to anyone.
And to my surprise my husband who is my 'lifepartner' , is indirectly supporting his family.He KNOWS ALL. He instead misbehaves with me too and is disrespectful with me and my parents. My husband beats me up and tortures me badly by KNOWINGLY playing verbal games with me to piss me off , asking 100s of questions , picking faults in EACH AND EVERY thing i do , proving me as a stupid and foolish girl in front of friends and other peopleCONTROLING my activities all the time.
He beated me up so badly that i needed to go to the doctor twice and my whole body ached long after. He threatened me to not to tell anyone or he'll give me divorce. He BLACKMAILS me and my parents.
On the other hand my family adores him and they are very emotional people and not practical ones.
2 months back he got arrested after he fought with me and beated me badly . All my body got bruised. My neighbours called 911 when they heard strange noises from my apartment. His case is in the Family Violence Court and he can be deported if the case is not dimissed.
He has not hit me since a month but tortures me ment
ally and pisses me off by his behaviour.
I have never felt happy since i got engaged with him. Its an arrange marriage.
He never shares anything with me . Never tells me about his plans. If I ask him he gives me off-topic answers and gets irritated if i start asking many questions.
Has few friends and no close friends.
With his friends he shares very formal relations and is always "showing off" and worried about his IMAGE. He's very cunning and sharp minded man.
His colleagues think him as VERY SWEET AND CALM man.
I am easy going person and don't believe in showing off.
I am not working and have negligible work experience.
How should I adjust with this man? Can he change?
