well... DV 2012... what a mess... Who though on may 13th that it would escalade to this... Not Dos for sure.. niether did me... Now it's on CNN & what ever the outcome of this is, DV 2012 will forever be labeled as a mess... Now If a judge accept that class action (could very well happen because most of the 36 plaintif are in USA on a VALID B1 & J1 visa...) this could affect the july 15 results, the judge could just hold the result until this lawsuit is over... & lawsuit last very long

How many years before they will have an answer, with all appeals incl....the deadline won't change and ther outcome is already given by smart people.
Now these 36 people have their names out there, which will not be very helpful in the future since now they have come forward as having an intent for immigration which will be a red flag when they apply for a visa. For all others the entry for the DV lottery is not public records so they have nothing to fear. The 36 are now open to see by all departments and if they apply for a visa and don't disclose to have applied they will be denied for lying on their papers. That can even hurt them in years as has been in some cases when years later people were deported when a lie came up on their papers which at first was overlooked.
Good Luck to them....I guess some other law office might start a law suit for the rest of the 15 million with just a class action law suit if this law suit should go any where...lol

Do you know if the lawsuit is accepted by a judge, they won't be any july 15 redrawing until all this is done & that mean KCC will see about $42 millions vanish just under their noses? Thoses waiting for the july 15 redrawing have the best interest to not see this lawsuit accepted by a judge... what a mess
it's not... why you peoples are so overeacting... & even IF it is the end, it is the fault of many things not just one... many things starting from the false results, the KCC operators telling peoples to still percentage amount of green card through the DV is very small but bring lot of money... do not be scare

Congress will not cancel Diversity Visa Program even if they wont be this year, not next year and certainly not the next three years. Why? LAWS are passed in the U.S by Bicameralism and presentment. With both houses sharply divided on the issue of immigration it will be very hard to satisfy the "bicameralsim" and even if the bill is able to pass at congress with the President in support of immigration, he can use his VETO POWERS. In class action law suit you dont need all the members. Even one member is okay to suit for a class action. The person just have to show that he can represent the passive class members interest and there is a common question of law and facts.
Frankly, we will all lose if an injunction is placed on the Dv which is most likely to be. Bceause then, we spend another months waiting in anxiety to find out if we were selected or not. What all those who were not selected going to lose if the 22K winners are reinstated--NOTHING. They may say it was not fair to them but really thats why the Dos is still redrawing to satisfy those who did not win.
I will admonish all of us, instead of wishing the downfall of the 22k winners, we should rather wish that everyone's interest is protected. My family did not win so I am hoping a new draw will be done in July. Thats why I want Dos and the 22k winners to settle this case quickly for all of us to move from this problem.

yes, because in the past, 2 temporary resident had sued dos over the DV program & actualy won

I wouldn't put much trust in an immigation lawyer that usually just processed EB5's for rich people who buy a visa to the US and doesn't even understand that being selected does NOT mean that you are getting a visa. He is just a more or less unknown looking for some free publicity. If you had Laural Scot or Marc Ellis then I would say you had a decent chance.
the plaintiff doesn't seek the visa, they seek their chance back, not the visa... by the way, thoses who sold their house, their soul, quit thir jobs & their girlfridns all that in 2 weeks are kind of crazy if true...
