this is a update information for our I-485 approval. I think that the following information may have some reference value for some guy left from CSC.
Today, I surprisingly received the Notice at my current address. I did not inform CSC for my current address which is at TSC area. Like most of you, we do not want to transfer the files from CSC to anthor center. Thus, I just changed my I-485 address to my friend address in Los angeles although I filed my current address change to Washington.
since Last December, we received two CSC letters (one RFE for my kid, another Re-Do FP) at my current address. The letters were returned to CSC from our I-485 address. Because the envoleps were labelled the forward address from postal office, CSC remailed the letters to my current addess with a hand-writing mailing address, which means CSC did not automaticully update my file althought CSC knew i left from CA. Dureing this period, I received other CSC letters at my friend address and all communication with CSC used LA address.
The re-do FP was appointed at Los Angeles' serive center, but we did FPs at local service center. when filled in the FP forms, we used the current address.
However, my little son is without FP and the mailing address in his file is LA address. But today i also received his approval letter.
BTW, the approval notice also appoint our passport stamp is at my current local INS. We do not need to go LA. Although we waited two years, it seems that we are lucky at the last step.
