All,
I am on H1-B visa ( premium processing) for past 1 yr. Our Company was bought over in March 06 and as a result our company name changed along with my work location, which is in a different county ( 15 miles from present location).
My company realised that they had to apply for new LCA after I worked in the new location for about 2 months with old LCA. My company says it will take full responsibility for their mistake. Our company lawyer says that I have to go to the border ( Brownsville/Loredo) or Canada and revalidate there.
My Questions are :
1) Is is needed for me to go to the border to get this problem fixed, as suggested by our Lawyer?
2) What are my chances or getting revalidated.?
I also was on H1-B from 1996-2001 and got my multiple entry from Toronto in 1997 without a problem. But, when I applied by mail for renewing in late 2000 it was rejected on the grounds that it was more than an year of expiry date.
Thanks
