I have relatives in process of getting DV visa in Ivory Cost( Cote D'Ivoire). The visa is available for them and the interview date has passed 3 weeks ago. I called KCC to verify everything.The country is on brink of a war. Most offices are closed, the embassy still wants the medical done before they can interview them. The situation is getting worse and worse day after day. They are looking to even flee the country. Anything you would advise me in order to speed up the process? They are getting desperate

If they are in any means in danger with the country's government they live in, which I assume so at the moment, then they can apply for Political Asylum within the United States.

Ask them to email the Ivorian embassy explaining the situation. They know what the situation is and they'll advice accordingly. An option would be to request to do their medicals and interview in a neighboring country which can be easily granted.
