Unsure whether to apply now for i-140 or wait for L1A to be approved

Hi there,

I hope someone can offer some advice on this.

1.Last week I applied for I-129 for L1A visa, obviously not heard anything
about this yet as it will just have got there. When I applied processing
times were 50 days for I-129 and 179 for I-140. Now on Shusterman.com I see
that the I-140 time is down to 46 days. Since this is what I really want
and was waiting for premium processing to kick in before applying for I-140.
My question is, should I file for I-140 now ?

2.Also do you know if it is possible to pay for the visa with anything other
than a US check, only reason being I am in the UK branch of a multinational
and we have to request a check and get it posted, taking 5 days or so.

3. I am the most senior person available in our UK office at the moment and
I do not particularly want any non-Director signing forms with my salary on
them. Is it bad if I as a Director of the company sign forms on behalf of
the company to petition for my own visa ?

Thanks very much

Plrease help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My careless attorney filed my I-140 in August, ND is 09/10/01. But he forgot to send the Labor Certificate with the petition. After waiting for 8 months, the INS issued RFE on 04/05/02 for the original LC as well as all my transcripts , degrees , degree evaluation , pervious working experience. Does anybody has such experience? Because the main reason for the RFE is missing LC, is it ok I just sent out the original LC because it takes 1-2 weeks for the degree evaluation? I have MS in computer science and my LC is required a MS in computer science. Please help! Thanks in advance

You need to respond with what they asked for

How do you know what the "main reason" for the RFE was? You must either send what they asked for, explain very convincingly why it is not available ("I do not want to wait a week" is not a good reason), or take a serious risk of denial. BTW, it\'s possible to have an evaluation done in 24 hours.
