Understanding the visa bulletin

Quick question about the visa bulletin. What does it mean when the status is "Current" for DV visas? Also why is the Africa region always the last to get "current"? Is there more applicants from there? What are the chances for a number that is 2010AF00079XXX?

Current means all the selectees in that region will be interviewd (means visa no is availabale for all). If there is a cut off number is shown , upto that number only ,visa will be issued. Higher nos don't have a chance

Well thanks for the information guys.
Madu12-just like you explained yourself,Current means all the selectees in that region will be interviewed (means visa no is availabale for all).....and also looking at the bulletin Africa became current in 2006,2007 and 2009,which means everyone does have a chance.....some people have low numbers but never get the visa anyway because of different reasons.....that is why its called a lottery because its not guaranteed regardless of your number.....that is why we all need to believe and pray that those higher numbers are called out and that Africa becomes CURRENT aswell in 2010.
