understanding the priority date process

I am trying to understand the concept of priority dates and when a visa can become available. I have read other posts in the forums and what to make sure that I am understanding the process.

I am a Canadian married to a US citizen in 2002. We filed our I-130 11/25/2002 and it was approved 8/31/2006. I filed my I-485 on July 27, 2007.

A few questions:
(1) My understanding is that my priority date is 11/25/2002, based on when I field the I-130. Is this correct?

(2) is my visa category "Family based preferences - Second - (a) spouse " i.e. FB2A?

(3) Looking at the Oct Visa bulletin it says that Family 2A for 'All Charge- ability Areas Except Those Listed' is 15NOV02 and for those countries 'Exempt from per-country limit' is 01MAY02.
- Is Canada subject to a per-country limit (15Nov02) or not (01May02)?

I am trying to figure out when my priority date becomes current and have my I485 approved.

Thanks in advance for any help.

That's great news. So I assume that since my I-130 was approved that my subsequent July I-485 filing can proceed immediately for processing and at some point approval?

Since I filed my I-130 in Phoenix, AZ but filed my I-485 through the National Benefits Center does that mean at some point my I-485 will be transfered back to the Phoenix field office or to a regional service center?

I also filed in July for an EAD - will USCIS still process an EAD or just wait until my I-485 is approved?
