Unconventional Engineering degree evaluation

I am having a doubt in educational qualification for the employment based GC.

I am having B.Tech degree from Anna University Madras. It is an unconventional 3-year Specialized Engineering degree, only for B.Sc graduates in Physics/Chem/Maths. Indirectly it is a 6-year engineering program. It is a US equivalent foreign degree in BS in Engineering. I have an educational evaluation for this degree when H-1B filed.

Now my employer is willing to sponsor CG. We are in very first stage of GC (i.e. LC stage). Now my question is, are we required to take any precautions in filling LC application form with respect to minimum required education qualifications? My lawyer mentioned that required qualifications are” four year BS engineering degree in my speciaization + six years experience” for my position. This is what he is going to mention in ETA 750. Will it become a problem in Labor or in I-140 stage? If so, what precaution we should take in Labor stage? We haven’t filed the RIR LC yet.

Any advice is appreciated.

I am not sure but, one thing you can do is mention as, "B.S in Computer Science or equivalent" / "B.S in __some specialization__ or equivalent" and get the educational evaluation to say the same..

I am not a lawyer, so ask others opinion too.

It is OK(and that is in sync with your H1b educational evaluation.).
