Unable to make FP date ( VSC NJ). Please advise

I leave for India in a week and will be returning a week after my scheduled FP date. Do I -
1. Mail in my FP notice with a request for reschedule? ( This is the procedure on the FP notice).
2. Go to the Newark office now and ask to get FP done or reschedule.
( Is FP earlier even possible? )
2. Go to the Newark office on my return and ask to get FP done or reschedule.

Got my notice today ( dt 12.08 )
Appnmty on 01/12/02

Does any one knows whether I can get my FP done before
date in Newark?? ( I will be in India next month ! )

Any help/info appreciated.
