Here’s my situation:
Currently I am in the US on an L1 visa with company A,my I-94 is valid up to AUG-21 . Company B has filed me a H1B last APR-2005(so my H1B is valid from OCT-2005) ,without filing change of status(no I -94 with H1B). Now I am planning to switch to Company B. So Company B has filed I-129 form to change my status from L1 to H1B;
1. Is it possible to convert a L1B to this fresh H1B (COS)when I am still in US? I just want to confirm this at the first place.
2. Company B is not very sure about any other forms that they have to file with this I-129. Please help me if I-129 form is correct? And only I-129 form has to be filed to change the status(COS)?
3.How long it takes to get a receipt for the COS? Can I start working for company B before I get the receipt?
