Typiocally how long paper ads shud run for RIR

Hi All,

My lawyer told me that he has to run a paper / online ad for full SIX months before he can file a RIR case for my labor cert in california...
I find that excessive... Would you please share you expriences as to whats the typical length of time that you had to run ads recently for filing a RIR case? Thanks
 
I think 3 months is the bare minimum but in todays
environment 6 months is better to avoid Assessment
notice.
