Hi Everyone

My friend completing his job today where he filed his Green card.
He filed his I-140 in July, not approved yet but filed his I-485 in September and got their EAD.

What help he needs to take from his employer to get his green card continued?

A lawyer should be the best person to answer it but here is my guess:

He should stay with the same employer till I-140 is approved, and after approval if 180 passed since the filing of I-485 than he can change the job

The only help he may ask his employer not to revoke his I-140 petition so that his GC will be in process. Keep in mind I-140 is property of employer and he can do whatever he likes as ur friend has not completed 180 days after filing 485.

Actually I think that if I-140 is revoked, it doesn't matter whether this happened before or after 180 days of I-485 pending. From INS point of view this means that "no immigrant visa available" for an applicant an I-485 is automatically denied.
This means that I-140 should not be revoked until I-485 gets approved.
