Type of dependent Visa required...

Hi,

I am an Student on F1-visa currently on my OPT working for a company. My OPT ends in July 2009. Since I am no longer in school, I was wondering the type of dependent Visa needed for my Spouse. Is it F-2 or will it be something else? Further, since I am on OPT are there any issues obtaining the dependent visa for my spouse?

She needs to get F2 because you are in F1 status.
There are no major issues, but you wait until you get H1.

If I have to wait till I get H1, does that mean I have to wait till October when my H1 starts or Can my spouse go for H4 dependent visa once I get my H1 approval notice in June(lets say)?

She can go for Visa after approval but has to wait until last week of Sept for entering the US.
If she goes for F2 and gets it she can enter sooner, but from October she will have to apply for change of status to H4.
