Hi everybody. We received the interview notice, to be held in August. Me and my wife, who's the USC, got married in India, with both of our parents being present. We have the pictures from there, of the whole ceremony and reception. But we also got married here, after applying for a license, and got married 4 days later in front of a priest, with just her mother and sister present. My parents are in India, and weren't at the 2nd wedding here. When we applied for my 130/485, we used the marriage certificate from here.

We don't have any pictures from the 2nd ceremony. What do we do for the interview? Do we tell them that we had the 2 weddings, and show them the pictures from the 1st? please advice.

thanks.

Yes, you can say the first one was the triditional/religious marriage and the 2nd one was the INS marriage.. :D ... or marriage of record as some say.

There is no problem at all, you could have one wedding or each one tradition as your own wish...in any case, you are married and that is the rule, that you must be married.

If they ask you, you just say that you had two religious wedding (since one was in India and the other was with a priest over here) to please each one beliefs or whatever it's the case.

Good luck,

I agree with all... in fact I want to believe that there wouldn't be any problem in having more than one marriages - as long as they are with the same person. My husband and I too got married twice - once here in the US in presence of my parents (his couldn't make it due to immig issues) and then later in India at his parents' place. We got the latter registered.
