Two simultaneously status?? H1 & TN

Can I have two simultaneous status i.e. H1 as well as
TN ??
I have my H1 with a company which I never utilized
i.e. I never got any project or pay from them. They
still have my H1 and they said they never cancelled my
H1.
Now I have got a teaching option in USA. Can I utilize
go on TN for teaching in USA?? But remember my H1 is
not cancelled yet. I also do not want to cancel it,
may be I get a project in future.

-- you can choose to go on TN, but your H1 status becomes void as soon as you get the TN status.

Only 2? You can have an infinate number of TN simultaneously! However, don't mix a TN with any other type of visa as that is not allowed.
 
Thanks guys for the responses. But now I got couople of more questions in my mind.
If I have more than one TN then do I need to work with all of them without any break?
How the tax thing will work for miltiple TNs ?
Will I have same number of I-94 as the TN ?

I will appreciate if someone who have multiple TNs could explain me the whole process or direct me to a website where i can find all info regarding multipla TNs.
