I am applying for the Advanced Parole for my wife. But she does not have a 140 Receipt which INS requries now. Does anyone know what to do? Can I just attach mine?


Second question: my wife's case was transfered to Chicago local office, which is notoriously slow. What would happen if we move to another state? Would the case be transfered?

If your wife dependent on you which is GC derivative category, then she will not have any I140.

Yes, you need to attach your I-140 along with her AP papers

Why do you say Chicago is notoriously slow ? - I am planning to take up a job in Chicago and move and from Detroit - so would you suggest that is not a good idea ?
