2 questions:

First; I am going back to India for good on or before April (24th) 2005. I had taken this decision beforehand and I did not apply for GC for the same reason. Now, the company I am consulting with is giving me an option to apply for GC through consulate (called Consular Processing??). Can I do that and apply for it right now? If yes, what is it that it takes to do that?

Second; I have plans to do a certification with a local community college here before I leave. It is not possible to complete all the courses before end of my stay here. Can I stay here for another trimester or two getting a student visa or anything like that?

I would appreciate those giving me an answer.

Thanks,

--- by law yes, your employer can do that first he needs to file LC for you then I-140 after LC gets approved with CP option once I-140 is cleared then approved I-140 will be sent to Consulate nearest to your location in India, attend the interview then you can come to US with immigrant visa. FYI it is slighly difficulat path and your employer need good lawyer to do it
