two news for you..one good and one....?

today i got two news on my case.
Good one : they recieved my medical and 325 yesterday and updated today with yesterday's date ( march24th).and they did'n forget to send me an e-mail ( even twice) about this.

bad one : just got letter for fingerprint again scheduled for april 12 ,2005.i had mine last year on may 22.but again....?
only difference this time is ..they used word " Biometerics" instead of fingerprints.
so guys start making guesses about this....!
am just.. :confused:
 
:) I have received the same letter saying they need my "biometrics" ( a new pet word invented by CIS). They received my RFI and they want me to appear for FP on Apr 13, 2005.

BTW: I also had FP last year in May 2004.

Interesting this is that Paramvir1's ND is june and mine is Oct but things are happening hand in hand for both dates.. (God Bless CIS)
 
Good news guys! Congrats!

That means that u are really getting close to get stamped. Snif snif...I still need to wait probably one more year. My ND is june 2001 and I did fingerprints for the second time last year on July 2004.....

Current Status:

On March 22, 2005, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

Ah the Biometrics!! Make people who receive it feel very important like the bionic man..

Like most, I did my 2nd FP last year. Today I'm proud to say that I received the same letter... very proud, very proud...

:) Its amazing how we keep the humor alive on this forum. I love it!


Now what I don't understand is the need for more digital fingerprints. All of us who underwent FPs using the new digital scanners shouldnot be called for a 2nd or 3rd appointment. Technically thats what digital technology is all about - they should have all of our fingerprints on file (electronically). What's the point of having technology if you aren't going to use it.
 
one more thing..this time they did'n say they wan get fbi clearence of our finger prints as they did in last time.and FYI it came from same po box 82521 where we send ours medicals etc.and in this letter they put some case no. as # 2..etc. etc...it's different than the previous one for sure..!
am just putting this info so we can give some work to our poor brain.. :rolleyes:
 
Hey maybe this is a new way that they dont have to get your biometrics after your approval..which is done now right?..Maybe they approve you and then send you your GC....without asking to come for biometrics...
 
But you have to go to the local office to get GC stamp on I-94. So basically its bothersome to us, but somehow easy for them. I think it was better before that you got FP (or sophisticatedly "biometrics") and obtained GC stamp right there.
CIS will not let go of any chance to inconvenience us in any way they can... but good thing is that one day it would be over. Thank God
