Two jobs with H1B

I am working with company A on a H1B and my 140/485/EAD were concurrently filed in Nov 2002 and my job is quite unstable. My EAD is atleast a couple of months away. Now company B is interested in hiring me part-time till I get 485 portability in 180 days. Due to the immediate need of company B and since I didn't want to let go of a good opportunity in this tough economy, I am trying to figure out some way to work 2 jobs at 50% each in H1B till I get EAD/180 day portability. Company A would most likely agree to let me become part-time.

I have a few questions about this process and would appreciate any suggestions regarding this.

1. Is there any impact to my green card process due to working two jobs on H1B.
2. Does company B need to file my H1B transfer as a part-time position.
3. Is it legal for my current company A to let me work 50% of the time since I am working the remaining 50% in another company to satisfy the full-time requirement of my H1 visa.

A part time job will not support a GC. Company "B" would need to file for an H-1 or wait until you receive your EAD and Company "A" would need to amend the H-1 to reflect part time employment.
