Two 140/485 for both spouse

My wife and me are on H1-Bs. Can we file for GCs independently and name the spouse in each. The specific query is: can we both file for (140) and Adjustment of Status ( 485) with our respective employers and include our spouse . Then just get the EAD/ GC of whoever gets it first?
Do you forsee any difficulty in the processing or possible objections due the the 2 simultaneous 485s being processed ?
