Hi Guys,
Has anyone has used TT services drop box facility ?. If so, do we need to take the appointment or can we walk in to the TT Services office directly?
My question is, I'm going to India in June and i want to extend my visa at chennai consulate. I heard but not sure where and how this works. That i can directly go to some agents office on say monday and submit my visa application to them, they will do the visa extension and will handover me the next day ? is it true . If it is, i appreciate if some one suggest me the procedure and reliabe agent address.
Thank You

You can just walk into the nearest TT Services location with all the paperwork. They will courier the package to Chennai and you will receive the passport and other documents in 8-10 days by courier. Chennai no longer hands out passports directly and no longer offers same day or next day service.

There are no authorized agents other than TTS. You can also mail the package directly to the consulate.

Thanks for the fast reply. Will consulate directly post the pacakage
to my address or will it handovers back to TT services. Because, if
it handovers to TT services, i'm planning to stay in lodge in chennai
for 4 to 5 days, give my application first and if its done, i can
directly collect from TT services after 3 or 4 days.

I am right now waiting for my H1-B visa at Chennai. It has been more than 2 weeks...and still waiting. I applied through drop box (TT Services).

What I wanted to let you know is that you must be prepared to wait for an extended period of time. So, have your return flight flexible and try to keep in touch with you lawyer.
