A month ago I downloaded the macro(I485scan) and ran for 500 cases.

Starting from serial number SRC02029-61000 to SRC02029-61500

Last month Serial numbers SRC0202961018, SRC0202961127 and SRC0202961149 had results showing RFE sent on 12/6/2002, 9/12/2002 and 9/12/2002 respectively. I found out that these three cases are approved today(5/12/2003). Seems to be a good sign. I also found that most of the cases that were pending earlier now had their FP results received and processing started. Did any of you see some significant changes like this.

Thats good to hear, but how about some action for us mid 2001 filers. I'm hitting the 2 year mark for my RD next month.

And Bush said he was going to fix processing times. What a joke, his home state has the worst center of them all. They're already starting with the party nominations and campaigning, and the next election is 18 months away.

Maybe I'll get approved by then.

Will shorten the backlog to 6 months by fiscal year 2004?

What a joke!!!

1 or 2 years ago, when not long time after Mr. Bush just became the Presadent of US, he set up the goal of INS that the waiting time of AOS will be less than 6 months in fiscal year 2004, which starts in Spet 2003. Now we see what a joke it is!!!:D The fact is that the processing time now, which is 2 years and half, is 6 months longer than by then.

INS needs to do something now to improve the AOS processing time! Let see.

I think these are not employment based

approvals. Remeber employment based applications folows SRC-YY-DDD-5XXXX pattern.

SRC - Texas Service Center Code.
YY - Year.
DDD - Year of the day starting from Sep of last year.
5 - Code for employment related petitions.
XXXX - the last four digits of the application number.

Hope this clears some of your doubts.

At least, we don't have any evidence for lot of EB I-485 aprpoval recently.

In TSC, any good news were tested/degubed to be false (F, or -1); any bad news were tested/debuged to be true (T or 0).

Maybe I'm too pessimistic?! Prove me if I was wrong.

How true is your statement Sreenivasa Majji

Sreenivasa Majji:

Mine is an employment based petition and the number does not start with 5. Rather, it is 7.

SRC-02-XXX-7XXXX

I am under EB2 category. So, how sure is your statement, that 5 pertains to EB based petitions?

Thanks!

DDD - number of days since Sept of last year?

Dear Sreenivasa Majji:
The formular is wrong for me.

My DDD is 104 (SRC-02-104-XXXXX), my I485 RD/ND was Feb 2002 -- which is more than 160 days after previous September.

Thanks.

only working days count in DDD

mine is Dec'01 and DDD is 071, which seems to be in the ball park

I have no clue for 7XXXX

But so far I applied for I-485, EAD (twice) and AP. All are employment based applications and all are came with 5XXXX. AFIK 5 is employment based application.

Fujis. My RD/ND is Feb 11. and

the date is 102. Hope this clears your doubt.

Some Service centers starts with Sep as their begining of the year and some with October.
