TSC Processing Times (09/25/2002)

Processing Tmes

Presently, INS is neither approving nor denying cases due to the on going annual auditing.
We just have to keep our fingers crossed until we hear from TSC.
I have learned a waiting time is always a time of learning and a time of humbly..:)

I spoke to an IIO yesterday. She told me that they are working on to speed up I-140 and not I-485. I filed my I-485 on last Sept. She asked me to wait for one more year to get my FP notice. My EAD is also expiring on Dec. I applied for the renewal. She was very much sarcastic to the extent that you may have to renew your EAD next year also. I was stunned. My sincere advice is please don't talk to IIO's. They will add fuel to your frustration fire.

What a bitch!

It is just a way of making money by INS, the more people are waiting for 485 , more renewal applications for EAD and Advanced Parole, and more revenue for INS. Faster the I-140 process, more people will apply for 485 and the cycle will continue.

If the process was smooth , everybody would get green card in a year , thus reducing INS's profit by 1/3.

The goal is to maximize revenue, subject to torture of applicants ignoring the contribution they have made. If you study linear programming, you would understand what I am talking about.

The equation is how long should an applicant made to wait in order to maxmize the revenue for INS.

1 year ( no revenue from renewals) = 485 Fees + AP fees + EAD Fees

2 year (atleast 2 EADs and 2 Advanced Parole) = 485 Fees + 2 *AP fees + 2* EAD Fees

3 year (atleast 3 EADs and 2 Advanced Parole)
= 485 Fee + 3* AP fees + 3* EAD Fees

--------------------------------------------------------------
N -> NUMBER OF PEOPLE WAITING
X -> NUMBER OF YEARs AN APPLICANT MUST WAIT
I485 -> FEES for I 485
EAD -> FEES for EAD
AP -> FEES for AP

MAXMIZE
N(I485 + X*EAD + X*AP)
SUBJECT TO
X > 0 ! It takes at least a year or one time application
X <= 5 ! assuming it takes no more than five years to get a green card
END

Its all about benjamin.

Fu*k TSC

TSC is fu*king insane, FP is not the only problem with TSC. TSC is one year behind all other three service centers!!! Need to write a petition for this depay ALSO !!!

GCWAITER, You are exactly right. I have long said

that all of this randomness/unfairness is about really money. Remember this is capitalistic society, greedy people do here anything to make profits

INS needs to make one change immediately ,

EAD and AP should be valid till any decision is made on your case. Otherwise my friends its a major loss for Texas filers.

TSC might get less 485 applications by doing this. I know a guy works for a big company here in TX, his company filed his 485 through VSC since the company headquarter is in NY, they can choose either TSC, or VSC.
TSC gets less application, but is still processing Fu*king so SLOW!!!

Why not go for cp ...

If you guys are not very much into 485 (recently applied), why don't u guys go for CP .... it will take you less than 6 months to get the GC .....

I was under TSC ... they really screwed me in my 140 ...toook 11 months !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but that was enough for me so I went for CP and got the GC in 5 months from 140 approval ......

Its just an option especially for those who are awaiting their I-140 or are about to file it ... please look into CP option or else TSC will screw u !

Unlike a common belief, CP is very safe. I haven't heard/read of any employment based CP getting denied at a consulate. The only drawback is the need to travel to ur home country but if you have a pending vacation then why not .......

I totally agree with you my friend. You know these things require dynamic decisions, last year around june things were just fine with TSC. But things chaged....,rule changed....

Also, you need a good lawyer to guide you properly. My lawyer did not mention this option to me at all. Anyway that's my story.

My advice for future filers is to consider CP option seriously, I hope our experience will guide them.

:) :)

Well said. Hire a good lawyer and do your processing. The problem with the companies are if you are getting revenue to the company they want to keep you as long as they can. My company is newyork based. My lawyer filed my labour in PA and I-140 in Vermont. I have filed my labour on Aug' 99. Since then I was in kentucky. But when it came to I-485 my stupid company made my lawyer to file in TSC, as TSC is processing so slow. Lawyer didn't specify me. I came to know when I got my first EAD. Now I think I have to wait for more than one year. God only knows how long is the wait. Texas really sucks. It favours company and not the filers.

TSC favorations??

Does anybody else have any evidence of TSC discriminating on FP wait times on the basis of the company you work for OR on the basis of your nationality?
