TSC - NIW I-40 processing moves back

Just checked teh TSC processing times. For NIW cases it has moved =back by almost two months from nov 13 to sep 11 2006. It is now behind NSC which is at 26 sep 2006. Is TSC getting flooded more than NSC now as more lawyers prefer filing online to TSC and is TSC going to slow down more than NSC in future. Any comments would be helpful as to whats happening in TSC.
 
What seems to be happening is that the Service Centers are bracing for a flood of applications in July. So they are proactively announcing that processing times may be delayed. They may also need to hire new adjudicators, and to create more revenue, they retrogressed the processing times for EADs and APs so that people who have their documents expiring later in the year can apply for those NOW instead of waiting until August or September, which creates an immediate revenue source for them. That's my guess.
 
I just don't get how come processing time can move backward? One possibility is they received lots of reply of their issued RFEs ... hope they are not discovering new petition files ... :mad:
 
I don't know if that is really informative.

AP (I-131) says it is processing Dec, 2006. My AP was approved in early June with a RD of 04/26/2007.

There I-485 says they are processing March 15, 2007 (3 months). Look at Trackitt data. Only one or two guys in March are approved. Rest are still waiting.
 
I think its a glitch. Some categories of I-140 - Eb1A - are missing from the list. It doesn't look right.
 
No, you guys are misunderstanding the instructions at the top of the "Processing Times" page. It says explicitly that a change of processing time may appear to be retrogression, but is in fact a change in reporting. What this means in proper English is that the expected turnaround time for some applications are about to become longer due to (probably) the expected flood of new applications. In other words, expect new applications to take longer to adjudicate because of a higher volume. That's what the new dates mean.
