TSC May Receipt Tracker

Where in the world is my Application with Mesquite, TX?
We filed our I-485, I-131 and I-765 applications on May 8. My attorney sent it through Fedex and was signed and received by TSC on May 9. We have no receipts yet. We faxed an enquiry to TSC many times and got one reply saying our application does not show up in the database entry system. The notice was a standard reply mentioning a backlog of cases filed between March 1 thru July 31 because many applications filed due to the 245(i) provision. Our attorney has sent an representation to the INS enquiring about status. Hopefully, we can get something soon.
There is also a rumor that the TSC has lost many applications filed during this period. No one knows how true this is. If they have lost the applications, what kind of legal recourse do we have. Should we refile and ask them for our original filing date as the receipt date? We are hoping and waiting for our receipt notices.

rumor on TSC
There is a rumor that many I-485 applications have been lost. The more adverse version of the rumor is that these applications are missing. The more benign version is that it is stuck in the mailroom and TSC is trying to track all the applications and enter it into the database system.
I have also heard that there was a mailroom contract dispute in May. The contractor was replaced later. Wonder if we should suspect sabotage on the part of the old contractor out of rage? Hopefully not! Sorry to see so many of us having filed in May still waiting for receipt notices.
