TSC-485-NC and BC

Gurus,

I recently called TSC and I was told (by USCIS customer service ) that my NC and BC are cleared. 485 (EB1-EA) was received on July 30 (by TSC) but receipted by CSC dated in mid of Oct, 2007. The USCIS cust. service representative told me that currently TSC is processing 485s filed in April 2007. Will senator inquiry help to speed up the process. Or should I need to wait till they process October 2007.

Such inquiries are for people who are outside normal processing times (i.e. USCIS processing has reached and passed the date when your application should have been adjudicated, but due to some problem it wasn't). In your case, processing times haven't gotten to the date of your application yet, so you don't have a problem that anybody needs to help you with, and you will sound like you just don't want to wait your turn.....
 
Yes, I am in the same boat. I will just wait for my turn. Some may get the cards early than the processing time though. Keep us posted.
 
My 2 cents on this issue:
Keep calling at least 2-3 a month using the POJ method. I never even attempted it until late Jan and then after multiple 'I am emailing my supervisor' replies, my I-485 was approved on Feb 26,2008.
Of course, my NC and BC was cleared way back in september.
So theoritically, if i had been proactive back in september itself, i wud have got my GC a few months ago.

I got it. Thanks for your reply jk0274 and llp1. I will keep you posted the progress. I will just wait for my time.
 
I-485 backlog

My attorney advised that TSC is in the process of clearing over 37K backlog I-485 cases by the end of this month. You should hear some thing by then, I guess. Also, given that the new NC rule - wait for 180 days and proceed - also supports that the GC is not going to take forever as was before.
