trying to get hold of IIO

No Title

Debo : Do you think talking to IIO will give a quick/better result? just wanted to know, this is for my info..

debo, FYI wac-01-108-xxxxx

Called last friday, FP was finally locatable using wac# - a big step to me. FP was taken once in March and once in July(7/17) and the IIO said they received it on 7/18/01, so I guess the first set of FP never get there? Unfortunately, case is still not assigned yet. Will call again this Friday. Good luck to all of us!!

Mat..Talking to IIO has no affect on your case..I am 100% sure...They dont have any authority to do anything ..they just tell you what they see on screen..at the most i have heard they take printout of your case and forward it to duty officer and that too if you are within thier processing zone ( dec 98 per JIT )

Calling IIO in an extreme case can make a difference

I agree that normally calling an IIO doesn\'t make any difference.
But in my case my FP took 4 months longer than my wifes even though I was the primary. Afterwards my case just sat on the shelf because gathering dust because dates were all screwed up in their system. They showed having received the fingerprints from the FBI before I even got the notice mailed to me. After numerous calls I got an IIO to look into this. Upon looking in the system she agreed that the dates didn\'t make sense and took pity on me. She personally pulled my case off the shelf, handed it to an officer and my case was approved the same day.

So if your case is real screwed up in some weird way it does pay to call an IIO. But be ready to spend hours on the phone with MANY indifferent IIO\'s before you get one who will take the time to listen.
