Hi,
I came to USA in 2001 on H1b. While i was on vacation in India in 2002, i lost my master degree certificate, made a police compliance and got duplicate degree certificate from the university. I have all the valid documents. In 2004, i got my extension which is valid until 2008 (including 7th year extension). Never been in out of status. staying with the same employer since day one. Currently my passport has expired visa stamping.
I am thinking of going to canada for my h1b revalidation soon. Is there any complication in my case in order to get the visa successfully with the duplicate degree certificate? what are all the changes to get the visa? Is anybody in the same situation and got successful visa stamping in canada or any other consualate other than in india?
Please share your experience and tell me what are the risks involved in my case.
