I recently made few enquiries about my case regarding my 485 filing with USCIS. I was 30 days past the current processing dates and 60 days past the last time I had an update and hence I qualified to make an enquiry with VSC. Upon doing it, after 3 months I got a letter from them saying that my application is currently caught up in Retrogression and due to the unavailability of Visa numbers.
Now having said that, can I safely assume that I have gotten past FBI namecheck, and other formalties since I have completed both my FP(code 3) and medical and all that is left currently is to get a written approval. Is this something that can be construed from this letter.
A separate enquiry initiated by my attorney, I got a reply saying that I'm currently held at background check and currently VSC is 6 months behind on there applications. Now this is something I got previously to me receiving my letter from USCIS.
Any thoughts on this?
