I'm a US citizen and my wife is a citizen of Japan. I would like to bring her to USA to stay. I married her in Japan at the US Embassy so the marriage is recognized by both countries. What would be the quickest way to bring her here? If she comes can we start the process and she can stay in US with me? and she still wants to keep her Japanese citizenship so we can travel back to visit family for extended periods of time.

I'd like to at least be pointed in the right direction, What would be the first step? Sponsoring her ? ..BCIS?

and what would be the best visa to get? K1? K3?

basicly the fastest and easiet way, that i can get her here

any help is appreciated, thanks.

Assuming you are in the US now.
If you want to go in perfectly legal way, it should be K3 and you need to file I-130 as well as other required documents along with K3 visa application(I-129F) here in the US.

so K3 would be better than K1? what are the differences in K1 and K3?

I read on article saying I could get a K1 Visa the same day that i filed the paperwork..
I will bring her into the country in about April, so she will staying with me.
Will she be able to stay while we do the paperwork and all? or is it true that i can get it K1 in a day and she doesnt have to worry about going home?

and Yes, I am in the US now.

K1 is for fiance(e). K1 holder enters the US and must get married within 90 days.
Since you are married already, K3 is the way to go.

So when i bring her in april ... and we go to the consulate(?), and start the process thru K3, how long does it usually take to be approved? and will she be able to stay during the process? also.. how much am i looking at in costs?

you can start process now, it's better to start earlier especially when it comes to USCIS.

Cost shouldn't be expensive.
For now, I guess the expense you need,
I-129F $170
I-130 $190

THen later, you need to pay $325 for I-485(and more for I-131 and I-765, if your spouse want to travel or work before GC comes).

what is H1 Visa or H3?

* U'r wife must have her PASSPORT.
* U'r marriage certificate, from court.
* U'r marriage photographs, at least 4 or 5 will be ok,
but the condition is that both of u should be facing the camera.
* U'r VISA / PASSPORT / Employer Certificate or Recommendation for u'r wife to bring her with u.
* Both of u MUST have u'r ORIGINAL documents ( High school certificate, Degree, B.tech etc..).
* For H1 VISA u need a Rs. 720 ( or $20 ) Bank Draft payable in favour
of AMERICAN EMBASSY, This is u'r application fee.
* if u'r visa gets approval from the embassy u will have to deposit $100 as VISA fee.

i was told about this way.... but im not exactly sure about H1 and H3
