The immigration officer at seattle told me that above 6 months expect questions, and he said that apply for REP. However i said that well the form doesnt say so. He said expect questions then.
I will definitely have a letter regarding the assignment. Also i am making another trip mid june and will stay for work for 2 weeks or so. So i should be ok actually.
The problem is with the wife who will not have a single trip back since Feb and we return back next Jan.
I have no issues applying for REP and will apply for mine in June but am just questioning whether it is the hassle to take the wife and kids back to apply just for rep.
Plus, my lawyer (not the company one) recommended applying if 6 months or more.
All in all i dont want to risk the GC but also dont want to be hassled around.
