travelling to Poland on RP?

Has anyone had applying for a Schengen visa at the Consulate of Poland on an RP? I applied for a Schengen visa this morning at the Consulate of Netherlands, but the consulate contacted me this afternoon to inform me a bad news. I was told that it cannot issue me a Schengen visa as long as I have Poland as one of my travel destinations. I was told that Poland does not "ackowledge" RP. I don't know "acknowledge" means recognise. The consulate refunded my application fee. I then contacted the Poland Consulate and it seems to accept RP and was told to go in to speak to an officer. I don't know what is going on. Anyone had experience applying for a Schengen visa at the Poland Consulate? Does it recognize RP? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I modified my travel plan and applied for my Schengen visa at the Poland Consulate this afternoon. They accepted my visa application without saying anything. I hope that means Poland recognise RP.

I could have approach it differently and told them the full story about my experience at the Dutch Consulate yesterday.

Nah, don't give them more information than they need. There's obviously some miscommunication (or ignorance) in the system, which sucks, so do what you have to. Good luck.

To Whom It May Concern:

I just received my Schengen visa from the Consulate of Poland so I don't understand why the Netherlands Consulate told me that Poland does not "acknowledge" RP. The only thing I can think of is that Poland wants those who travel on RP to apply in-person at Poland Consulate instead of Consulate of other Schengen countries. For those who travel on RP and who plan to travel to Schengen countries and Poland is one of your destinations, I would suggest that you plan accordingly.
